In his inaugural collection for Knoll designed in 2026, Dozie Kanu reimagines a traditionally fixed object as something alive and dynamic. Combining steel rods with smooth leather and cascading fringe, each piece feels both sensual and performative, with tassels that respond to even the slightest movement to reveal subtle glimpses beneath and around it. The tension of the leather surface and the fluidity of the hanging elements evoke a tactile language, transforming the work beyond ornament into a deliberate exploration of form, sensation, and desire.
