Knoll exhibits at the design platform neue räume in Zurich from 15 to 19 November 2017

At the interior design exhibition neue räume in Zurich, Knoll shows new pieces by design luminaries Florence Knoll, Eero Saarinen and Piero Lissoni, as well as a selection of its modern design icons. neue räume, the largest design platform in Switzerland, is a unique forum for design companies, designers, manufacturers, journalists, experts and an audience of specialists and design lovers. The event will take place in the imposing historic ABB industrial halls.

Piero Lissoni’s Grasshopper table collection strikes a perfect balance between modernity and tradition, elegance and functional quality. The Grasshopper Low Round Table is a new version of the novelty recently shown at Salone 2017 in Milan. With its height of 20, 25 or 30 cm, marble top and slim legs, it is a sophisticated coffee table with a contemporary touch. "If this table could be described with just two words, they would be flared and lightweight. Indeed, Grasshopper borrows its name from the animal with its high-precision legs. The legs support a top that is so thin that it seems ready to lift off and take to the air. An object that is so weightless and compact that it works perfectly with all the chairs of the Knoll range," Lissoni says.

The Bench designed by Florence Knoll in 1954 is one of the great creative achievements of Modernism. Florence Knoll Bench Relax, the icon, is now available in a number of new sizes. In addition, another Knoll design classic celebrates its debut in new editions: the Round Table and Oval Table by Eero Saarinen are now also available with a top in exclusive Rosso Rubino marble.

Besides these new developments, Knoll will also be showing some of their iconic design classics from the almost 80 years of company history: the Albini Desk by Franco Albini, the Barcelona Chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, as well as the Womb Chair and the Conference Chair by Eero Saarinen.
